Some people think that the government should put a tax on unhealthy food to encourage people to eat more healthily. Do you agree / disagree?

The issue of eating more healthily in many countries has grown in importance over the past few decades. Some
people
argue that the
government
should put a tax on unhealthy
food
.
However
,I completely disagree with the idea that compels
people
toward
this
purpose and I think there are better ways to encourage them to eat more healthily.
To begin
with, I believe that the
government
should raise public awareness about the importance of
people
's diet.
Therefore
, there should be more advertisements about the profit of eating healthy
instead
of the fancy commercial of junk
food
on television and billboards.
Moreover
,
people
should know about the harm that unhealthy eating habits can cause to their bodies in the long run.
For instance
, in one of European countries
government
forced all of the companies who were in
food

the food

production business to put a nutritional chart of the product on the packaging in a bold font so every customer could see what they are about to eat.
This
experiment showed a massive reduction in unhealthy
food
consumption.
Besides
,the
government
should provide more healthy and organic goods. As we know there is fast
food
in every corner these days.
However
,It is harder to find places to serve healthy
food
and they are often more costly. So, it helps if
government
enforce rules and restrictions for the
food
producers
such
as restaurants and supermarkets to make sure that the
food
that they provide have an acceptable quality.
Furthermore
,if organic products are more available in markets it reduces the prices and attracts more
people
to put them in their diet. For the reasons mentioned above,it seems to me that it is the wrong attitude to force
people
by raising prices of the products and it is a better idea that
government
raise public awareness about eating healthily and provide them with more and cheaper organic foods.

Support ideas with relevant, specific examples

Examples make your writing easier to understand by illustrating points more effectively.

Examples, if used properly, not only help you get higher marks for ‘Task Response’ but also for ‘Coherence’.

When giving examples it is best to put them after your main idea or topic sentence. They can be used in the middle of supporting sentences or they can be used to start a new sentence. There is no rule for where exactly to give examples in essays, logically they would come after your main idea/topic sentence or just after a supporting sentence.

Linking words for giving examples:

  • for example
  • for instance
  • to illustrate this
  • to give a clear example
  • such as
  • namely
  • to illustrate
  • take, for example
