It is a Samsung Galaxy phone with model number M51 and the specified feature is that it has a fast-charging feature .When I checked it at the shop everything was working fine and the salesman asked me to keep the mobile in charging position for 8 hrs before the initial use .

,the phone was not charged,even if it plugged in for more than the specified time. from my initial ,investigation it seems like there is an issue with the charging portal.
