You are studying at a college which has very limited sports and leisure facilities for students. Write a letter to the principal. In your letter; outline the situation propose ways to improve this situation request a meeting to discuss this Begin your letter 'Dear "Do not write any addresses”
In the present ,situation college is not having the number of
sports
which can give us the opportunity to showcase our true potential in sports
. Also
, to create consistent effort there is a lack of infrastructure to improve the sports
.
Last
year in the general championship, we were competing with 20 colleges in 10 sports
. We were short of a few margins in some tournaments. It would have been a complete one-sided win in our strong sports
which are cricket, football, kabaddi, swimming, table tennis and chess. At the present level, we do have a swimming pool but without proper maintenance, lack of cricket equipment, and also
with no fitness centre like a gym. Although
, we still managed to win 3rd prize in the chess and cricket tournament ,by managing it from external resources. For making an exponential jump in all sports
and creating a name of the college brand we need your support in improving the current facilities of sports
. Our suggestion is to create a gym in college with paid membership for students and free for sports
students who are qualified for participating in students.
So, it is a sincere request to give your support in the development of an ecosystem related to sports
that can enhance numerous sports
and facilities required for improving the scale.Submitted by dshah1819 on

The Greeting
Depending on the style and aim of the letter, you will need to adapt your greeting.
Always start an informal letter in the ways:
- Dear + name
- Hi / Hello + name
‘Dear...’ is more appropriate, so stick with this.
For a formal letter there are two options for the greeting:
- Use Dear Sir or Madam if you don’t know the name of the person you are writing to.
- Use Dear + surname if you do know their name, e.g. Dear Mr Smith or Dear Mrs Jones.
