Many people believe that teachers can influence the intellectual and social development of children, more than parents do. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Give your opinion and include relevant examples.

Teachers
and
parents
both play an indispensable
role
in the life of a child. The
parents
incorporate the basic values whereas
teachers
inculcate the
knowledge
and skills in a pupil. Some schools of thought believe that the mental and social
development
of
children
depends more upon the teacher as compared to
parents
.
However
, from my perspective, both play an equal
role
in the
development
of
children
.
This
essay is an attempt to address the roles of
teachers
and
parents
in the overall
development
of pupils.
Firstly
, tutors have a fundamental duty to give subjective and objective
knowledge
to toddlers.
In addition
to these, teaching ethical and moral values to
students
make them responsible citizens of the nation. The
children
spend almost half of their at school, so
teachers
are obliged to teach them mathematical, scientific and creative skills to build the intelligence of the
students
.
For example
, a teacher is a guru who can help dumb
students
to rise with
knowledge
using techniques of study. Probing towards the
role
of
parents
in the
development
of offspring. In the early years of life, toddlers spend most of their time with their
parents
. The
parents
teach them to respect the elders and speak politely to everyone. Spending quality time with
parents
makes them

socialise with people.
For instance
, a survey has reported that
children
being taught values at home can easily grasp the
knowledge
given in school.
Therefore
, in my contention,
parents
and
teachers
have a mixed
role
in the
development
of adolescents. In conclusion, the
teachers
make the
students
intelligent and
parents
have an incontrovertible
role
in developing the child as highly social, polite and respectful with people.
