You are going to another country to study. You would like to do a part-time job while your are studying, so you want to ask a friend who lives there for some help. Write a letter to this fiend. In your letter: -give details of your study plans -explain why you want to get a part-time job -suggest how your friend could help you find a job

Dear Annie, I'
m
just writing to let you know that I'
m
moving to London in September to start my master's. It's a one-year postgraduate course at Queen's College, London, and I'll be studying international financial law with a few modules on shipping legislation.
Although
it sounds super boring, I need to complete it before I can get a role in a corporate law firm. Talking of jobs, I'
m
going to need to get a part-time one to help pay for my living costs and rent while I'
m
studying.
Moreover
, a job would really help me polish up my speaking and listening skills because, as you know, my English is not really up to scratch. Would you be able to email me a list of newspapers that advertise jobs in your area?
Also
, could you put a good word in for me with the owner of the pub you work in? Bar work would be perfect for me because I will have to study during the day. All the best, Tim

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
