Illiteracy continues to be a concern for many countries in the world today. What are the causes of illiteracy in the modern world, and what effects does it have on the people concerned and on society as a whole?

As we live in a high-tech era, it seems that
illiteracy
cannot be ignored. It is generally accepted that there are three main causes and multiple consequences. One of the main causes of
illiteracy
is illiterate parents. When parents are illiterate, little attention is paid to their children's education, which increases the
illiteracy
rate. The second reason is that
illiteracy
is
also
driven by rising
poverty
rates.
Poverty
meant that many
people
did not have the money to pay for their education or buy materials
such
as books and pens.Another cause of
illiteracy
is a learning disability that occurs
while
a person is still a child. Some of these conditions,
such
as dyslexia, make it very difficult for them to understand what they read and write.
Illiteracy
leads to an increase in the level of
poverty
. Because
people
with little or no education end up in low-paying jobs. Another impact of
illiteracy
is the increase in crime rates in
society
. When
people
are unemployed, they steal to feed their families.
Illiteracy
also
leads to a shortage of
people
participating in community activities. Because they seem to

recognize the problems that affect
society
.
Illiteracy
also
leads to the slow development of
society
. A
society
with a low literacy rate has a high
poverty
rate and virtually no growth.
To sum up
, in an era where everything is shifting to technology,
illiteracy
is a major cause of
poverty
and a major cause of social problems around the world. Governments and individuals must take action to eradicate
illiteracy
in
society
.
