Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing
this
letter to buy a house in Sydney, Australia. My name is
Nithisha
Correct your spelling
Natasha
. I recently accepted a position in Sydney.
As a result
, I intend to relocate with my family. My husband and child will accompany me to Australia. I need your assistance in purchasing a home in Australia. First and foremost, I'm looking for a two-bedroom
apartment
.
Furthermore
, a completely furnished
apartment
will be an excellent option because I do not believe I will be able to devote much time to purchasing furniture and other necessities. It will
also
be beneficial if it contains a children's playroom and a balcony.
Nevertheless
, it should have one parking place, as I was considering purchasing a car in the next two months.
Nonetheless
, I have a work in the Mascot suburb. So, if you can arrange an
apartment
in Mascot or nearby communities like Glebe or Surry Hills, that would be fantastic because I don't want to relocate too far from my workplace. It would be quite great if you could assist me in finding
such
an
apartment
. I will wait for your response. Your's faithfully, Nithisha

The Greeting

Depending on the style and aim of the letter, you will need to adapt your greeting.

Always start an informal letter in the ways:

  • Dear + name
  • Hi / Hello + name

‘Dear...’ is more appropriate, so stick with this.

For a formal letter there are two options for the greeting:

  • Use Dear Sir or Madam if you don’t know the name of the person you are writing to.
  • Use Dear + surname if you do know their name, e.g. Dear Mr Smith or Dear Mrs Jones.
