Dear Madam, I'm Obbu Raga Sai Nithisha, and I'm a participant in your university's Effective Recruiting Management Course. I'm writing to you to express my dissatisfaction with the
room
in which I was assigned to reside throughout my course. I applied for single-
room
accommodation in writing before starting the course. I
also
stated that I would prefer to remain close to the institution rather than far away. Unfortunately, I was assigned to a shared
room
, which I have been sharing for the past few weeks with another student.
Furthermore
, it is at least a 35-minute walk from the building where our classes are held. The
room
is too small for two people to live comfortably, and the ventilation system is inadequate. Fresh air and sunlight are unable to enter. The
room
is cramped, with two beds and two desks, and there isn't enough space.
Furthermore
, my roommate has regular visitors who frequently stay the night. It interferes with my schoolwork and personal space. I assumed I'd be getting a single
room
with plenty of light and airflow,
as well as
a location close to campus.
Instead
, a shared
room
with a terrible ventilation system was arranged for me.
As a result
, I would be extremely grateful if you could find me a single, large
room
with adequate ventilation and airflow. I require a space

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
