In their advertising, businesses nowadays usually emphasise that their products are new in some way. Why is this? Do you think it is a positive development or negative development?

In today's world advertising new products different from the old ones is the main strategy for running a business.
This
trend is due to various reasons including

highlighting the positive feature of the new arrivals attracts customers. In my opinion,
this
is a negative sign due to many reasons.
To begin
with, there are many similar products that meet the same requirements. In
this
case, it is very difficult for the customers to decide which is best suitable for them.
Therefore
, enlightening the useful characteristics assists the buyers to purchase that particular product over the other
such
objects.
For instance
, the promotions for iPhones list the practical uses of those particular ios which distinguish them from the previous devices.
This
creates the demand for these electronic devices in the market. The marketing is good until it represents the actual features that a particular thing has. Sometimes, the organisations simply change the name and appearance of their commodities and present them as a new thing. The promotions that advertise these brands misguide and divert common people.
For example
, subway used to sell "Subway Melt" and now they have introduced "Great Canadian Club" which is the same as "Subway Melt". The change of name attracts the buyers but they don't get anything new. In the conclusion, I would say that marketing is beneficial only till the time the things that are promoted are actually good. Commercialising has more negative effects as most of the businesses focus on growing income and ignore consumers' expectations.
