The
Violence
rate is an important topic to evaluate society’s safety. In
this
context, there are some factors that can intensify criminality, whether is the influence of movies and television or because of social and economic-related measures. It is my belief that the
media
can have an indirect
impact
on
violence
.
One of the notable changes in our social environment lately
,Remove the comma
show examples
has been the saturation of our culture and daily lives by the mass
media
. In
this
new landscape, social networks have assumed central roles in our
behaviours
, especially among youngsters. For better or worse the mass
media
are having an enormous
impact
on our values, beliefs, and principles. There might be some consequences regarding the violent content, people watch. People might have difficulties disassociating the virtual with the real world.
Furthermore
, children at an early age, that have been exposed to
this
type of topic, increase the risk to develop violent
behaviours
.
Finally
, video games have introduced an extra dose of virtual reality. In
this
case, adults and children tend to play games that are closer to reality.
Therefore
, a game that simulates
violence
may interfere with individuals’
behaviours
.
In contrast
, all these exposures have an indirect
impact
on people's
behaviours
. Social political and economic measures tend to likely have a more influence on them.
Firstly
, the way the country is been constructed, socially speaking, interferes profoundly with how human beings react to
violence
. In
this
sense, countries with fewer social programs and weak principles and values are likely to experience a higher
violence
rate.
In addition
, the amount and the quality of the rules and law a society create
also
influence
violence
. Some societies have an institutional framework that encourages
violence
. Whether is due to the lack of enforcement of rules that privileged some groups to the detriment of others.
Finally
, the economy plays an important role in
this
scenario as well. Wealthier societies have a fewer unemployment rate which diminishes the risk of
violence
.
It is reasonable to conclude that; the increasing levels of
violence
can
impact
the behaviour of individuals.
Nevertheless
, even though the mass
media
may lead to jumping the risk of
violence
, social and economic factors have more power to trigger those
behaviours
. I hope the authorities could introduce measures to reverse
this
trend and create rules to discourage
violence
.
