Write a letter to a friend who worked at your previous company. You have moved to a new job in a new city. • describe your city • describe your job • describe the arrangements for him to visit you Write at least 150 words. You do NOT need to write any addresses. Begin your letter as follows: Dear .....,

Dear John, Hope you're doing great. I'm writing to tell you about my new location and new position.
Firstly
, I'm over the moon with my new job, as you remember how it was tough for me to work in our bank.
Although
I have a huge list of daily tasks, I'm so excited to finish them.
Besides
, my new manager is extremely supportive and kind.
Also
, I'd like to say a couple of words about Sydney. I spent there just a few weeks, but I can admit that
this
city is
second
to none! It's full of fun, incredible places to visit. There is a huge botanical garden just close to my home where I usually run in the morning. I hope you'll be able to explore Sydney with me
next
week, to roam the most famous streets. Please don't think about accommodation, as I've already prepared the room for you at my apartment. Please type me about yourself. Look forward to seeing you soon. Cheers, Maria

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
