Some people say that the main environmental problem of our time is the loss of particular species of plants and animals. Others say that there are more important environmental problems. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Environmental concerns have grown in importance and have become one of the most contentious
issues
among
people
. Some
people
believe that the
extinction
of certain plant and animal
species
is currently the most pressing environmental issue.
However
, there is an argument that other environmental
issues
are more important because they have a direct impact on
people
's health and cause difficulties in our lives. Current environmental
issues
include climate change, global warming which is causing arctic ice to melt, as well as an increase in natural disasters
such
as tsunamis, which cause significant mental and physical harm to
people
. Many factors contribute to these unfortunate events, including air pollution, water pollution, deforestation, and coral reef destruction.
This
could ultimately lead to the annihilation of humanity as well as the annihilation of our planet. Animals and plants are dying at an alarming rate all over the world. Poachers target endangered
species
.
This
is a terrible trend, not only because these animals do not deserve to die, but
also
because biodiversity is critical to the planet's survival.
For example
, when a shark is killed, it is not just the shark that dies. Entire aquatic ecosystems can be harmed, potentially leading to collapse. That influence can have a domino effect on fragile ecosystems and other endangered animals.
However
, the
extinction
of certain plant and animal
species
as a major environmental issue is insufficient. Because
extinction
is linked to other environmental
issues
such
as climate change. When we kill certain plant and animal
species
, we indirectly contribute to climate change, and all of these environmental tragedies bring the world closer to the brink of
extinction
. To summarize, it's difficult to say which causes are the main environmental problems because the results are both disastrous.
