Many manufactured food and drink products contain high level of sugars which causes many health problems. Sugary products should be made more expensive to encourage people to consume less sugar. Do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, the majority of

 into their product. Some people are making the general assertion that the production of

 and beverage

 includes an excessive amount of

 that can lead to various issues that are related to health and the

 should be costly to reduce the consumption of

Although
 there are arguments on both sides, I completely agree with the given statement and will provide

 details to substantiate my arguments It is undeniable that nowadays, people rely on quickly processed

 for meals and snacks. These

 undoubtedly contain a huge proportion of

.
Furthermore
, experts believe that increased consumption of
sugar
 is a major cause of obesity and many chronic diseases

 as diabetes and heart disease. To cite an example, in America, the rates of obesity rose significantly among adults. So the authorities should create a public campaign and awareness of the disadvantages of

food
.
Additionally
, by increasing the
price
 and tax of unhealthy snacks and drinks, the authorities can indirectly influence the manufacturing of alternative health
products
. Increased
price
 tags will become a major problem for companies as it results in less profit.
For instance
, the Singapore government has recently increased the

 of sugary

.
Hence
, unhealthy foods are being replaced by healthy foods
such
 as fresh fruit juices. In conclusion, it is indeed that high consumption of
sugar

 will put the individual health at risk,
thus
, to avoid these disadvantages, a government agency like FDA should release strict laws & regulations that will benefit the wellness of people and implement a higher tax on these foods.
