Oler people after retirement choose spending money for themselves (on holiday) rather than saving money for their children. Is it a positive or negative development?

Currently,
people
have different views on retirement
life
. I think elderly
people
spending more
money
on themselves is a positive trend. One of the significant benefits of
this
trend is that it improves older

life
quality. After taking care of their

for decades and devoting their best years to

employers,
this
is the reward they earned. Move to a new house in rural areas to get away from traffic and air pollution, keep any kinds of plants or flowers they want in their backyards, or learn instruments and paint. Retirement is the beginning of their new
life
.
Moreover
,
this
will improve their health. Many elderly
people
feel lonely, and their
children
have no time to pay a visit because of work pressure. Spending
money
instead
of saving for their
children
,
such
as leisure and recreation, can keep them in a good mode.
Furthermore

, the economy will stagnant. Spending on entertainment activities
such
as travelling and purchasing merchandise and gifts on holidays will create more job opportunities, which will benefit the whole society.
On the other hand
, we can not neglect the side effects it brings. There is a concern that without parents’ financial assistance, many young
people
may suffer from high pressure. Especially in those countries where house prices and the cost-of-living stay at a high level, while their incomes fail to keep up with the inflation.
For example
, purchasing an apartment of 60 square meters in Beijing will empty six wallets of a family, the

and their four parents'. The challenge always comes with opportunity. Parents can take
this
chance to alter their educational strategy, which helps to cultivate their
children
's independence. The young generation needs to face their
life
all by themselves and the mindset of relying on parents is no longer an option. Overall, I think older
people
spending
money
for themselves
instead
of saving for
children
is a positive trend.
This
is beneficial not only to old
people
’s welfare but
also
to young adults’ development.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
