Dear sir/madam, I am writing
this
 letter to kindly provide my interest in working as a child-care responsible, due to your advertisement in the local magazine. It would be efficient if knew, that I was working as a baby seater for three years with a Spanish family in Sydney which had a couple of toddlers until they had to leave Australia for another country whereas, I still have a nice relationship with them I had to look for a new job and in these three years of my professional career life I have promoted my language skills to three languages beside Persian which is my native language, I have the national certificate of kids caring which I have attached to the letter. I would really appreciate it if you consider me for the aforementioned position so I could spend my free time expanding and learning
further
 skills like learning new languages and trying to cook delicious food for children

The Greeting

Depending on the style and aim of the letter, you will need to adapt your greeting.

Always start an informal letter in the ways:

  • Dear + name
  • Hi / Hello + name

‘Dear...’ is more appropriate, so stick with this.

For a formal letter there are two options for the greeting:

  • Use Dear Sir or Madam if you don’t know the name of the person you are writing to.
  • Use Dear + surname if you do know their name, e.g. Dear Mr Smith or Dear Mrs Jones.
