In spite of the advances made in agriculture, many people around the world still go hungry. Why is this the case? What can be done about this problem?

Thanks to the advancement of agriculture and transportation,
people
will not get hungry anymore and even can eat seasonal
food
anytime.
However
, the truth is that there are still many
people
around the
world
getting hungry every day.
This
essay will attempt to look into the key factors as to why
this
happened and how to deal with it. One reason is that with the inequality widespread throughout the
world
, rich
people
become more prosperous and poor
people
still cannot have enough sustenance to live on.
Moreover
, most
people
in developed countries do not care about the social issues of hunger in those undeveloped countries. Another reason is that over-cultivation of forests affects climate change and unnatural disasters which make fruit and vegetables rotten.
For instance
, in Taiwan, the price of vegetables increased twofold due to the flood
last
winter which never happened before. “More care can create a better
world
.”
People
can change it by starting to be more attention to social issues of hunger and create empathy for those
people
starving to death. Individuals can donate some money to the organizations that help orphans have enough
food
to live on.
Furthermore
,
food
manufacturers can donate
food
in bad condition or hard to be sold out to these starving
people
.
For example
, many restaurants send out leftovers to them
instead
of throwing
food
out, which is environment-friendly and can help
people
. Overall,
although
the problem of hunger does not occur in our life, it does not mean it does not happen in the
world
. In
this
case, individuals should take the responsibility to solve it by any means.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
