nurses play a vital role in healthcare systems. Do you agree or disagree?

Growing up in a family of healthcare providers, I have developed an understanding of the demands and rewards of working as a
nurse
.
However
, it was the COVID-19 pandemic that had the biggest impact on my decision to become a registered
nurse
. I could see how the real heroes of patient
care
saved many of my friends and relatives. I saw the
care
provided to acutely ill patients and how it alleviated their sufferings and of their families.
This
reinforced my everlasting enthusiasm for a career as a
nurse
. As I have always been keen to learn biology and chemistry, these two subjects were always my chosen subjects in high school.
Also
, the pandemic shaped my passion so much that I did a weeklong observation in a
care
home where I observed the challenges and rewards of looking after vulnerable and frail elderly people. The
care
provided by healthcare staff was necessary to ensure their mental and physical wellbeing. I observed the importance of communication skills and teamwork in delivering good and efficient
care
for the residents. As I wanted to be a registered
nurse
, I chose to come to the
UK
as they provide world-class education, and the NHS is the best place for anyone who wants to fulfil their dream of working as a
nurse
. I am aware that
UK
Universities meet the high standards set by The Nursing and Midwifery Council and the placements will give me a unique opportunity to have
first
-hand experience of the healthcare system in the
UK
. I understand that
UK
universities provide a good learning culture for students. My relatives live in the Midlands so it
also
influenced my decision to apply for a nursing placement in
this
part of the country. A career as a
nurse
involves physical activities and I am naturally a person who wants to be physically active. My personal activities include football, swimming, and jogging. I learned resilience, leadership, and teamwork as a football player. Thank you for considering my application.
