With the widespread use of the internet , more people choose to work from home . Do the advantages of this trends oughtweigh the disadvantage?

For the past couple of years, people across the world from all walks of life were mostly forced to do their jobs from home as much as possible due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We cannot deny the fact that it was possible only with the help of the
Internet
, as it allowed most of these jobs to go along without any hindrance. It will not be overrated to say that the merits of
Internet
usage outweigh the shortcomings of consuming it. The
Internet
in recent years has made the advancements in technologies skyrocket to an extent that we do not feel isolated from the working environment. With fibre optical enabled high-speed data connectivity feasible at almost every house has made it possible to connect with co-workers seamlessly through applications that enable video and audio calls for meetings like we use zoom in our office for all the official gatherings to discuss with colleagues and it has never made us feel that we have not met them in person for a long
time
. Though there had been a scepticism
initially
over productivity as far as the employers were concerned, it was definitely a boon to working from home for employees as it facilitated them to spend more
time
and take better care of their families.
For instance
, when I had to work from my office physically, I have never had a chance to spend quality
time
with my parents and get involved in their business but I was able to work in my dad's grocery shop during my leisure
time
and was able to learn certain nuances on business. Recently, many companies are finding out that productivity has not taken the toll as was previously predicted and so they are offering their employees to choose remote work going
further
if they wish. So, it is easily deducible that
this
trend is going to stay and will have more benefits than the downfalls if there are any. Considering the ever-increasing enablements that the evolution of the
internet
is bringing along with it in several aspects, it can
also
be used to rectify if there would be any shortcomings before long. Personally, I suppose it will go down in the history for good reasons if it is approached with a cautiously optimistic mindset.
