TASK 1 A friend has written you to ask for advice about a problem at work. You have had a similar problem in the past. Write a letter to your friend. • Tell your friend you understand the problem • Explain what happened to you in the past • Suggest possible solutions to the problem. Write at least 150 words You do not need to write any addresses, Begin your letter as follows: Dear …..

Dear Simi, I have really missed you and I trust you are doing well. I hope my letter finds you in good spirits as I am writing to revert your initial mail. For starters, I have been a victim of
this
same situation and it caused me a lot of emotional downtimes when I kick-started my career in IT sales. I really understand your predicament and I would use myself as a yardstick so you will know there is light at the end of the tunnel. My line manager was a pain in the ass for four quarters because I was new on the job and I was not meeting up with my quarterly target. My salary was slashed in halves and I was placed on a performance improvement plan due to my poor sales. To be candid, I would advise you to look into diverse sales strategies and embrace more Original Equipment Manufacturing account managers as friends.
This
should broaden your clientele pipelines which would eventually increase your leads and of course successful deal closures. I know you will adhere to my suggestions as I look forward to reading about testimonies when
next
I read from you. Take care of yourself and I hope to see you during the festive period. Yours affectionately, Simeon.
