Your neighbour has written to you to complain about the noise from your flat. Write a letter to your neighbour. In your letter • explain the reason for the noise • offer your neighbour an apology • tell them what action you will take.
Dear Mr Thomas,
I received your letter regarding the noise coming from my flat. I would like to personally apologise for the trouble and any inconvenience on your part.
Two days ago, we notice that our walls in the toilet started to have some water marks and asked someone to check on it.
This
led to some problems with the drainage and the interior wall being damaged from the water leak. As a result
, our bathroom will need to be renovated due to the problem and may take 1 to 2 days to be fixed.
I will inform the contractor to minimize the noise when working and if possible to only start in the afternoon, so as to not cause a disturbance in the surrounding area.
Once again I am sorry for any bother caused . If you have any concerns please feel free to contact me.
Best regards,
