Some people believe that it is necessary for all students to study until the age of 18 while others think there are good reasons to leave school early. Discuss both sides and give your opinion.

There are those who believe that
students
should stick to compulsory education until age 18 to be well-educated, while others think there are reasons to leave
school
before that age. Personally, there are some situations that force
students
to withdraw from
school
early.
However
, the government should find a way to keep everyone studying until they are 18. Frankly, almost
students
who drop out of
school
early have to generate income. Sometimes they are in a poverty-stricken family or struggle with some challenging problem.
For instance
, they must get a job to help pay for rent and food or even take on the burden of their family finance.
Moreover
, during the Covid 19 Pandemic, many
students
went to work for their family businesses
instead
of going to
school
. The result was that their family were saved from starving or sinking deeply into poverty. If the situation was really taxing,
students
be under lots of pressure, and
then
they have to quit
school
and start working early.
On the contrary
, it is momentous to not leave
school
early.
Firstly
, by studying in high
school
,
students
could gain a wealth of knowledge and skills and meet higher-level qualifications in the future.
Then
, due to high competitive job market, it is impossible for
students
with no degree to compete with well-educated
students
in terms of skilled workers. Those who graduated from high
school
obviously have a better chance of having decent jobs with high salaries and particularly access

tertiary education.
Secondly
, the schools
also
provide social and moral education, which is of paramount importance to teenagers. Because people who are under 18 do not have sufficient intellectual capacity to distinguish between right behaviour and wrong ones, they could easily commit crimes if they were not educated well enough. These setbacks will negatively affect their lives and society in the long run. In closing, leaving
school
early isn't a good option, and
students
should not be allowed to do it. In extreme cases, the government or community must cooperate with schools to support
students
overcome their difficulties.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
