Dear sir, I am writing
this
letter to inform you about my wristwatch that I left in your hotel
last
week. After coming back home, I found it was not there on my wrist. I will like you to help me with for searching it. I must have left my smartwatch on the dressing table in the hotel room. I think I forgot to put it on while I was checking out.
However
, It is pink-coloured with the Titan brand and it has a very slim belt. So, I would like you to conduct a search and see if you can find it. You should
also
need to ask your staff if they saw around. If you found my watch,
then
I request you to please post it to my address which is there in your register book or else you can contact me on my personal mobile number 9876543210. Looking forward to your positive response. Yours Faithfully, Nidhi

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
