It is more important for students to study art and literature than it is to study math and science. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

A voice came out with the argument that it is more significant to learn
art
and
literature
rather than
math
and
science
. From my point of view,
art
and
literature
are essential for people to understand history and
life
, which could be helpful for their psychological questions.
However
, I still agree that
math
and
science
come
first
compared to
art
and
literature
.
First
,
math
and
science
are the fundamental subjects for all
students
whose scores are included for future higher education, whether you are a
science
student or studying
literature
.
Math
is one of the main subjects taught from elementary school to college. It will not change in a short time. Education background plays a crucial role in your future
life
. Suppose
students
emphasize too much
art
and
literature
instead
of
math
and
science
. In that case, they will be highly left behind by others and miss the opportunity to pursue higher education.
Second
, learning
math
and
science
helps form a logical thinking mindset essential for many practical
skills
in
life
. Research has discovered that studying
math
and
science
is the way to train the left hemisphere of our brain, which is related to our logic.
For example
, communication
skills
and critical thinking are the basic
skills
you can not miss to integrate with the sophisticated society nowadays. With so much news and information online, you have to hold a clear mind and be critical of the information you absorb, either from books or people. With logical thinking, it is easy for people to be cheated and stuck in some philological questions, which may arouse psychological problems. Another example like computer
skills
, society now turned into a digital world, and almost all professionals today acquire solid computer
skills
in the workplace.
Math
and
science
are essential to it. Learning
math
and
science
is a must for future
life
and the professional of the
students
. In conclusion,
although
art
and
literature
are essential for
students
to learn more about
life
through others,
math
and
science
should come
first
in their study period.
