The given bar graph demonstrates changes in expenditure on
books
 in four European countries from 1995 to 2005. Overall, it is evident that Germany spent the highest amount of money on
books
 during the given period, whereas all countries experienced an upward trend in the cost of
books
.
However
, Germany and Italy have some fluctuations as well. Germany's expenditure on
books
 was $80
million
 in 1995.
This
 figure fluctuated between $80
million
 and $90
million
 from 1995 to 2003, before increasing to about $95
million
 in 2005.
On the other hand
, the cost of
books
 in Italy was just below $50
million
 in 1995 and experienced a variation between just below $ 50
million
 and slightly below $60
million
 within the
next
 four years.
Then
this
 gradually went up to approximately $62
million
 in 2005. The money spent on
books
 by Austria began at around $ 30
million
 and
this
 considerably rose to $ 30
million
 in 1999 and remained stable for the
next
 two years. After that,

 figure climbed dramatically to nearly $72

 in 2005. Interestingly, France was the only country that showed steady growth throughout the given period, which rose from about $57million to nearly $75
