It is important for people to take risks, both in their professional lives and their personal lives. Do you think the advantages of taking risks outweigh the disadvantages?

The chart illustrates the consumption of weekly earnings among families in a country in the years 1968 and 2018. Overall, it is clear that while the vast majority of the money by far went to foodstuff in 1968, leisure activities took the lead in 2018. Families spent 35% of their total income on nourishment in 1968 whereas the figure dramatically decreased by almost half 50 years later. Interestingly, pastime with around 23% was the predominant expenditure in 2018.

. The budget related to household goods was the only item that remained the same over the 50-year period, at about 7%. People tended to spend nearly 10% and 8% of their revenues on housing and commuting costs, respectively in 1968.

fuel and power, clothing and footwear, and personal belongings constituted around 6%, 10% and 8% of funds respectively in 1968, their percentage declined to about 5% in 2018.
