The growing population has put on a deaf ear to the warnings of scientists to protect the environment by controlling the use of natural
resources
.
This
essay will discuss the reasons
such
as lack of
awareness
and implementation of rules towards
consumption
of our natural
resources
. and share solutions as well, on how we can generate more awakening and create guidelines on the
consumption
of these depleting
resources
. There are several reasons why people do not pay heed to scientific advice.
Firstly
, these depleting
resources
are provided very easily to their consumers with very little
awareness
of how these
resources
are generated and their overconsumption can cause harmful effects on the environment.
For instance
, water is an essential resource for the survival of mankind and is easily available to us,
however
, some people leave their taps running or use it out of proportion.
Secondly
, a lot more focus is given to the economic development of the country, leading to the conservation of energy taking a back seat.
For example
, we see that the media covers daily updates on the economic growth of countries but very little information is shared on the reservation of
resources
leading to a lack of
awareness
. Creating
awareness
can play a very important role in the conservation of
resources
. Examples include educating schools and colleges, and annual general meetings on the
consumption
of electricity and water could be held in apartments and offices, media and technology to promote
awareness
, all these factors that will improve the current situation.
On the other hand
, along with social and economic development, a timely update on the
consumption
of
resources
must be shared. To conclude, energy
consumption
is very important for the survival of our generations to come. The neglect shown by people towards the scientific advice to use energy judiciously in order to save the environment will have terrible repercussions in the days to come. I strongly believe that we need to create more
awareness
regarding the impact of these actions and how to avoid them.
