Youths are the future of our
society
. It is important that youngsters spend their idle
time
in productive activities. Today's youth prefer spending a large chunk of their free
time
in shopping
centres
. It is feared that an increase in
this
trend can impact the youth and
society
in a negative manner.
This
essay will discuss to what extent
this
statement stands true in the modern world. With the growing pace of modernisation, shopping malls have been opened throughout the world in huge numbers. These malls offer a variety of clothing, accessories and other entertainment options in one place. As most of the shopping
centres
are having well-maintained infrastructure, and fully air conditioner facilities, the adults like to spend most of their
time
at
such
places. The crowd on weekends in Elante mall Chandigarh is the most evident example of youngsters falling into the trap of
such
attractions. It is important to understand that the rising interest in
such
places among adults can affect our
society
and the young generation in an adverse manner. The youth should spend their leisure
time
on useful activities
such
as playing a sport over the weekend, learning a new language, and being part of a non-profit organisation
instead
of frequently visiting the shopping
centres
. The
time
spent in these shopping
centres
not only makes them dull in long run but
also
refrains them from growth and other aspects of life. In the conclusion, I would recommend the generations to come to choose their priorities wisely. On one hand, it is important to enjoy leisure
time
but excess of fun and enjoyment by spending ample
time
in shopping
centres
is of no use and would only result in their negative development and would be a bane for
society
as well.
