Some people believe that schools are no longer necessary because students can study well at home through the Internet. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is claimed that academic progress can be gained through the internet at home;
therefore
, there is no need for
schools
in the future. I tend to disagree with
this
claim. On the one hand, it is true that the development of the internet can lead to good grades for students who study at home.
Firstly
, using a large number of resources online can broaden their scope of knowledge and expand their horizons, which may not be able to gain through traditional textbooks. Vivid videos and

Furthermore
, it is beneficial for young people to arrange their timetable

learning freely and learn at their own pace. In
this
way, students may find studies more enjoyable than in school.
However
, traditional education authorities still play vital roles in educating the younger generation. At
schools
, pupils can develop their teamwork skills and communication skills by working with other members of their classes, which will be useful in their future jobs.
Also
, school teachers provide structural lessons;
therefore
, students can learn to behave sensibly and avoid wasting time. Parents could
also
see the advantages of school education because they hardly have time to look after their children due to busy work. Regulations and proper guidance by
schools
would prevent children from being influenced by adult-oriented information online, including violent images and pornographic images. In conclusion,
although
there are some benefits for young people today to studying at home, I tend to believe that it is important for society to keep
schools
running.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
