The pie charts show the difference between the annual school spending in those 3 years. Insurance increased greatly by 2001to reach 8%, while it was just 2% in 1981, and 3% in 1991. The largest partition of spending was teachers’ salaries in all those years, as it increased to its maximum percentage in 1991 to take half of the total spending, and decreased in 2001 to 45%. The other workers’ salaries spending continued to decrease from 28% in 1981 to 15% in 2001. Depending on resources and books decreased to its lowest in 2001 with 9% while their highest percentage was in 2001. More attention was given to the furniture and equipment field in 2001 as they were their highest with 23% while they were only 5% in 1991 and 15% in 1981. It is noticed that the total spending in 2001 was divided to more closely percentages than in previous years.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.
