Because of the busy pace of modern life, many children spent most of the time indoors and have little exposure to the nature. How important is it for children to learn to understand and appreciate nature? Give reasons of your answers and give relevant example of your experience.
In
this
modern era, people live fast-paced life with a nuclear family. As a result
children
in these families develop apathy towards outdoor activities
and exploring nature. It is important that the offspring should possess a proclivity towards the habitat where they live in order to make a harmonious lifestyle. This
topic has been profoundly discussed and I will describe my point of view before coming to a conclusion.
The foremost reason is children
who stay indoors and show less inclination towards salubrious outdoor activities
may be vulnerable to different types of mental as well as physical disorders
.Nowadays, numerous minors are spending more time on video games and board games. Consequently
,they become isolated and may develop psychological distress, anxiety, insomnia, depression and so on.Apart from these, they might suffer from high obesity, diabetes and other kinds of physical disorders
due to reduced physical activities
. To illustrate, in,India many children
are reported as having obesity because of poor diet control. Therefore
,it is dangerous to be indoors for physical and mental well-being.
Secondly
, reduced social skills
and communication skills
are adverse effects of indoor activities
. When juveniles grow up they would turn out to be less capable of taking responsibility and leadership skills
. In this
contemporary era, most jobs need efficiency in speaking and communication skills
as they thrive in a competitive world. If future generations lack these abilities it would make their life miserable. Moreover
, the increment of communication disorders
such
as autism and hyperactive disorders
is the byproduct of the absence of outdoor activities
. To exemplify, many studies claim that if a child shows withdrawal from exploring nature or seeing and playing outdoors with peers would develop Autism eventually.
To sum up,doing healthy activities
by considering nature would bring so many positive changes in children
's life. Hence
,I believe that staying out from indoor activities
would help to maintain a healthy lifestyle.Submitted by deepumolvarghese5 on
