Some people think that the main factors influencing a child’s development these days are things such as television, friends, and music. Others believe that the family still remains more important. Discuss both opinions and give your opinion.

While it is thought that
families
have the main impact on
children
in terms of development and education, some people think that they are highly influenced by their surrounding friends, TV, and social platform. In my opinion, despite their major impact on
children
's behaviours,
families
play the primary role in raising their
children
. To start with,
children
, especially at a young age, spend most of their time surrounded by their
parents
. At
this
,level a child starts to observe his
parents
' actions and practice them in daily life.
Moreover
,
parents
usually raise their
children
according to certain ethical and moral values
such
as honesty and respect that are reflected in their attitudes.
However
, in a dysfunctional family,
children
often suffer from social issues
such
as a lack of confidence and fear of socializing due to the unhealthy environment surrounding them at home.
Therefore
,
families
are the main influencers on
children
's development.
Nevertheless
, when youngsters grow up they become gradually independent and start to gain a certain attitude toward their surroundings. Eventually,
this
age is very critical because they meet new people around and start using the internet which might alter their ethical values leading to unpleasant actions.
For instance
, at school students are prone to learn bad words from their friends despite their
families
' efforts to raise them in an appropriate environment. To conclude,
families
provide a supportive and constructive role in their
children
's development;
however
, there are major influencers on their behaviours in life. I believe that,
although
they can be impacted by their surroundings;
nevertheless
,
parents
have a major role.
