• You have an appointment with your manager the next day. Write him/her a letter about what you’re going to discuss at the meeting. In your meeting, you should tell: • What did you do for the company during the years you worked there • What changes you would like to recommend • What training you require

Dear Sir, I have been a part of
this
company for the past 8 years and would love to share light on a few issues in our tomorrow’s meeting. I am writing
this
letter to brief you on the points I would like to discuss the
next
day. I joined
this
company as a CSR Assistant to the Executive
project
head. I not only learnt about
project
planning and execution but some of my ideas
also
proved to have accelerated the
project
outcomes.
As a result
of my diligent and strong
work
ethic, I was promoted to
project
head in 2019. I have successfully handled more than 20 projects with positive outputs in society. Since the Pandemic, the
work
culture has changed in my field and
therefore
I would like to propose a few ideas to update our strategies in my department.

and has been effective too so if employees are given a choice of mode of
work
, it can increase their efficiency.
Secondly
, many projects require multiple field visits, so if the company can arrange a vehicle for female staff, it would encourage more female employees to involve in remote projects. Many of the new staff of my department need training on safety at fieldwork, the latest change in CSR policies as well as how to manage stress at the workplace.
This
training will increase the confidence and efficacy of our employees. I hope the suggestions will be considered in the upcoming meeting on employees’ welfare. Yours sincerely, Krishna Soni.

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
