Some parents think that childcare centres provide the best services for children of pre-school age. Other working parents think that family members such as grandparents will be better carers for their kids.

Most working parents will have to rely on extra hands to take
care
of their
children
. For many parents,
childcare
centres
aren't as attractive as having
grandparents
or a relative taking
care
of their
children
. While I agree it would be a great bonding experience with dedicated
care
from
grandparents
, having exposure to
childcare
centres
helps build confidence and independence from an early age.
Childcare
centres
these days are not just providing babysitters. Most of these facilities have advanced developmental goals for
children
at each stage.
For example
, there are nurseries that function on Montessori principles that help babies aged more than 6 months participate and contribute to everyday life. These institutions promote independence and growth in a way
that is
routed in practicality. The professionals deployed are certified teachers focusing on the emotional and physical well-being of each child. They
also
provide early exposure to various forms of arts and sports which help instil interest levels
accordingly
.
In addition
to
this
,
children
in a shared environment benefit from the social setting which promotes traits like sharing and empathy.
On the other hand
, having dedicated
care
from
grandparents
create an excellent bonding environment.
This
will help create wonderful childhood memories and they will cherish a life-long attachment with their
grandparents
.
However
, in my opinion,
this
can be achieved
nevertheless
as long as the
grandparents
show involvement in the child's growth. Creating holiday traditions or hosting them for a couple of weeks every year while the parents take a vacation etc. can all contribute to having lifelong memories with
grandparents
. In conclusion, opting for
childcare
centres
have more developmental advantages than having cared for at home by
grandparents
or a relative.

Support ideas with relevant, specific examples

Examples make your writing easier to understand by illustrating points more effectively.

Examples, if used properly, not only help you get higher marks for ‘Task Response’ but also for ‘Coherence’.

When giving examples it is best to put them after your main idea or topic sentence. They can be used in the middle of supporting sentences or they can be used to start a new sentence. There is no rule for where exactly to give examples in essays, logically they would come after your main idea/topic sentence or just after a supporting sentence.

Linking words for giving examples:

  • for example
  • for instance
  • to illustrate this
  • to give a clear example
  • such as
  • namely
  • to illustrate
  • take, for example
