Some people feel that manufacturers and supermarkets have the responsibility to reduce the amount of packaging of goods. Others argue that customers should avoid buying goods with a lot of packaging. Discuss both views and give your opinion. Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Should
manufacturers
and marts take the lead to minimize packaging of goods or it is the buyers who should prefer unpacked
things
in order to decrease the number of packaging of
things
to avoid environmental pollution? In
this
regard, there are two diverse opinions: some
people
blame
companies
and shopkeepers for not doing enough to decrease the amount of packaging while others want layman to prefer unpacked
things
. In
this
essay, I shall discuss both views and
also
give my own opinion. No doubt, producers and shop-owners can do a lot to decrease the amount of packaging of their sale-goods in order to keep the environment neat and and clean.
First
, they should not pack the
things
which can easily be sold unpacked
such
as milk and butter as in our villages
people
buy open-milk and unpacked butter, using their own utensils.
Second
, larger size of packing may be helpful to lower down the number of packing, say,
instead
of making one-kilo grams of ghee
packets
,
packets
of five kilo grams may be prepared so that larger quantity may be sold in one packet.
Therefore
, the
companies
and supermarkets can easily take a start to bring down today's figure of
packets
.
Besides
, the role of layman in
this
regard cannot be ignored, they can
also
help the
manufacturers
and mart-owners to pack more quantity in one packet by buying larger
packets
which will be an encouraging point for the
companies
to start a new era and culture of good packings.
Moreover
, when unpacked goods are available and they are not harmful for the health
such
as pulses, dates and grams to name a few, why should they demand them in
packets
? If
people
start avoing
such
kind of packed
things
, they will compel the
companies
to sell them unpacked.
Hence
, in order to discourage the
manufacturers
from packing the everyday usable
things
, the role of
people
can be leading and decisive. In my personal opinion, both parties: producers and consumers, have to actively take part in
this
exercise to minimize the packaging practice, and it can easily be achieved if the government, media and organisations start educating them regardign the harmful effects of packing on on environment in general and on the living
things
in specific. Summing up, it is the responsibility of the
manufacturers
as well as the buyers to take necessary steps to bring down the culture of more and more packaging because all of them are eager to have a healthy sorroundings, and formal and informal education through different sources can definitely boost-up the efforts.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
