You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. You would like to stay at a friend’s house for a short time as you are visiting his/her city and don’t want to stay in a hotel. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter: • Request to stay at your friend’s house • Explain why you would like to stay • offer your friend some kind of remuneration for letting you stay. Write at least 150 words.

Hi John, Hope you are doing well. As you know, I'm migrating to
Canada
next
month and am writing to get a huge favour from you. I got the visa and the ticket to travel to
Canada
but I don'
t
have a place to stay, the tickets came at the
last
minute and I couldn'
t
find proper accommodation within a short span of time.
Further
, I contacted one of the real estate agents living in the Ontario region. He suggested a few locations ,
however
, I'm not satisfied with his suggestions. Some houses look cheap and they are old. I didn'
t
want to commit myself to any of these apartments without seeing them in person.
Therefore
, I would like to stay at your place for a short period of time until I find a suitable place. I don'
t
want to stay in a hotel as it's so expensive and I don'
t
have a job at the moment. I will have to visit
Canada
and start looking for a job.
However
, I can pay some amount of money as I can understand the high cost of living in
Canada
, and you may incur some additional costs due to my stay. Looking forward to receiving your response soon. Warm wishes, Kyle

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
