Although more and more people read news on the Internet, newspapers will remain the most important source of news. Do you agree or disagree?

In my opinion, I absolutely disagree with
this
point of view. With the development of society, more and more people prefer to read
news
on the
Internet
. I believe that reading
news
on the
internet
is still the most important source of
news
, even more so than
newspapers
.
Firstly
, you can read a lot of information that you want to read; it’s very convenient to filter out all the things that you really want to see. You can access the
internet
to read the
news
while working or studying at the same time.
For example
, if you want to know what happened on a given
day
, you can use Google to find out.
Then
, a lot of information will be displayed, and you can choose the link you want to read.
Secondly
, the images used to illustrate the content on the
Internet
are more clear and more colourful than those used in
newspapers
. It is important to show realistic images, which is what the
news
talks about.
For instance
, if you read the
news
in the traditional papers, you cannot imagine the pictures of what happened because they do not have any colour, only white and black. Sometimes it does not have any pictures, so we cannot brainstorm about what the
news
is saying.
In addition
, it can update the
news
quickly. According to the traditional newspaper, it takes nearly one to two days for the journalists to write, and it takes more time to publish than print. Aside from that, it only takes a few hours for the
internet
news
to be updated for us to read.
Besides
, reading
newspapers
in the traditional way is often preferred by the elderly, because it has been followed by them for more than half of their lives and their eyes are less affected by blue light than everyone these days.
Last
but not least, I think these reasons are making more and more people read
news
on the
Internet
because they can save money
instead
of buying
newspapers
every
day
. Not everyone in
this
world has the money and time to buy a newspaper every
day
. It is more expensive than reading the
news
on the
internet
. It will contribute to environmental protection. If we save paper and ink every
day
and do not cut down trees to make paper, the number of trees will increase every year. So it can limit the cutting and waste of green resources.
