Some people believe that there should be fixed punishments for each type of crime. Others think that the circumstances of a crime, and the reason for committing it should be considered when deciding on the punishment. Discuss both views.
Nowadays, there are lots of crimes happening in our world. some folks have thought that there should be the same judgements for every sort of violation. And another part of society has another view which is the background of the issue, and the cause for doing it should be taken when issuing the judgement.
This
essay will discuss both
views.
Firstly
, applying fixed punishments for every type of crime
is not fair, because it is known that, each crime
has won reasons. For example
, if someone
killed someone
and another one
does the same crime
, naturally, the background of both
crimes is different. The first
killer maybe he trying to protect himself. In addition
, if the government fix the retribution according to a type of crime
, this
will encourage bad people to do the crime
. Moreover
, if there are two persons, the first
one
stoles 100$ and the second
one
stoles 1000$ in this
case both
of them will have the same punishments because both
of them are committing the same type of crime
.
The second
view, is retribution according to the criminal background.in this
way, each one
will get fair. For instance
, if someone
stoles shop in order to feed himself because he does not have money. In this
case, there is a reasonable reason why he did that.On the opposite, if someone
did the same case for fun, of course, the punishment should be different.
In conclusion, there are reasons and logic behind both
views.In my ,opinion both
views can be considered and that depends on the government.Submitted by nas.alsadi on
