week. I am very thankful to you for inviting me to your birthday party but I am afraid that I will not able to attend your birthday party. I know, I should not do that, but I am in a bad position now. Actually, on that particular day, I have an urgent meeting which I can't miss. I tried to ask my manager if he can send someone else but my boss was having a big rant though, so I felt like I could not able to adjust that without creating a scene. Anyway, I'd love to make it up to you if you are not too mad still. How about we go out for a dinner and see that new bond movie

Thursday? I've got the whole day off, so there's no chance of getting stuck in a meeting! Best Wishes Ankur

Use cohesive linking words accurately and appropriately

Linking words are very important in your essay.

To score effectively on your IELTS exam, you should make an effort to implement short concise sentences coupled with linking words.

Almost every sentence in your essay should have a linking word of some sort.

In fact, the only sentences that can omit linking words are your background sentence and thesis.
