Some people think that children should only read academic books. Others believe that reading books for pleasure is equally important. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

There's no doubt that reading is essential for overall growth. Many argue that pupils should only read academic
books
. Meanwhile, others think that reading for pleasure is vital as well. Even though I feel reading beyond school
books
is necessary for personality development, the following paragraphs will discuss both views in depth.  Reading only academic
books
can help students with their grades as they will focus more on the subject.
This
will help them in achieving scholastic goals without any distractions.
For example
, A study conducted by CBSE in 2019 showed students who scored 90℅ were the ones who focused more on academic reading rather than reading for fun.
However
, investing your time in
books
that are not allotted for school can help in building a more pompous personality.
For example
, a kid who reads more will be more confident than a youngster who just crams to score a particular grade.
Similarly
, if they read whatever intrigues their interest, they will associate reading with fun and
as a result
, they will end up reading way more than what is specifically given to them.
This
will make them more knowledgeable in the long run.
For example
, a study conducted by Harper Collins showed that kids who read more
story

are likely to excel in English literature.  I will conclude by saying that even though prioritizing academic reading is mandatory to accomplish better results. It is reading for entertainment which makes a kid more intellectual and different from his peers. It helps them to stand out in a crowd and speak their opinions without any apprehensions. So, reading for pleasure is only going to add up to a child's personality.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
