Traditions are about the past and innovation is about the future, and it has been argued that we need to let go of traditions for the sake of progress. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this? What role should traditions have in our lives?

With the world embracing advanced technology and developing fast, the tension between
traditions

innovation
 has been created.
Although
 some insist that
traditions
 should be abandoned for sake of more progress, I believe that
traditions
 are indispensable parts of society.
This
 essay will argue that
traditions
 are not only crucial to the modern world but
also
 act as guidelines for
innovation
. And
then
 it will point out what role should
traditions
 play in our lives.
Traditions
 define who we are at the moment. It is hard to imagine a country or people without having any kind of tradition because
traditions
 are associated with our history and formed within history.
Therefore
, without
traditions
 serving as a reminder of who we are, we may simply forget the purpose of
innovation
 which is to promote our prosperity of ourselves.
Secondly

traditions
 are guidelines when it comes to accessing the feasibility of technologies.
Innovation
 may bring ethical problems, and since it is meant to serve the public, public opinions shall be consulted within which the
traditions
 form an essential part.
For instance
, the cloning of human beings is a highly debatable issue and was later suspended by referring to religions, and is considered to be the right move to

However
, there are some old-fashion
traditions
 which may hinder progress,

also
 why we shall be cautious about

 as well. Implementing the

 which can be used to our advantage, while abolishing those who can keep up with the ever-changing world shall be our approach toward the

. In conclusion, despite the hindrance which

 may become in certain circumstances,
traditions
 are not opposed to
innovation
 and are
also
 key to ourselves as well as to the development of society.
