write a letter to a supermarket and complain about an accident which happened then, give some suggestions as well.

Dear Sir/Madam I am writing to complain about an accident which occurred to me on the preceding Monday due to certain mismanagement in your supermarket. In spite of the fact
this
occurrence did not end up with a serious injury, I would like to give some advice in order to improve your customer service department.
Last
Monday while I was seeking my shopping items through the aisles I ran into the accumulated boxes full of bottles of wine. The bottles were broken and their contents were all poured onto the floor. Fortunately, they were fallen on the opposite side and it did not get me into serious trouble, but what if it happened?
This
accident has made me feel upset about the lack of attention of your team to those who have remained loyal to your supermarket.I would like to suggest you some crucial measures In order to avoid a similar accident. In the beginning, a complete alteration is required for rescheduling and reorganising the staff. Afterwards, the shelves should be replenished during less congested hours of the day.
Last
but not the least, the space between the shelves must be widened so as to ease passing the customers. I would be very grateful if you would attend to
this
matter as soon as possible. Yours Faithfully, Amir Safa

The Greeting

Depending on the style and aim of the letter, you will need to adapt your greeting.

Always start an informal letter in the ways:

  • Dear + name
  • Hi / Hello + name

‘Dear...’ is more appropriate, so stick with this.

For a formal letter there are two options for the greeting:

  • Use Dear Sir or Madam if you don’t know the name of the person you are writing to.
  • Use Dear + surname if you do know their name, e.g. Dear Mr Smith or Dear Mrs Jones.
