You stayed at a hotel last week. After you got home, you realized that you had left your watch behind. Write a letter to the hotel manager. In your letter - Explain what happened to your watch - Describe your watch - Ask the manager to help you find it

Dear Manager, I stayed
last
week at Sunset Hotel for 3 days. I enjoy my visit and I hope I'll go there again as soon as possible.
However
, I have an issue and need your help. I'm pretty sure that I left my watch in my room's bathroom. I'd taken a shower before I left the hotel. That time, I put the watch in the bathroom closet. I would like to you check there or maybe you could ask the housekeeper. It's possible that she found it and put into somewhere.
This
watch isn't expensive but really important to me because my grandfather gave it to me before he passed out. Its colours are dark blue and silver. There are some Latin writing on both sides and the glass is damaged.
Also
, it looks old. If you need, I could send you a picture so you could determine it easily. You could contact me whenever you find the watch. Yours sincerely, Elif Beyza Önder.

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
