You recently broke your leg and your colleagues from work sent you get well cards and presents. Write a letter to them and say • Thanks them for supporting you. • Describe how you spend your time. • Explain about your recovery process.

Good morning everyone, I just received everyone's heartful messages for me. As you all know, I injured my leg by falling down the stairs at my house.
Moreover
, I am really thankful to you all for motivating me during my hardship.
In addition
, these inspiring quotes from the cards help me a lot to mentally prepare myself.
Furthermore
, nowadays, I am taking proper rest and my parents are here to support me in
this
tough situation.
Besides
, most of my time was spent visiting doctors and attending psychotherapy classes often.
Although
, I still can take some time out for my favourite leisure activity which is reading books.
However
, I got a few minor fractures in my ankle but, I will be back to work in the
next
two weeks as my recovery pace is fast.
Lastly
,I would really appreciate everyone's concerning letters about me. Thank you I look forward to hearing from you Best Regards Your Sincerely Sandeep Kaur

The Greeting

Depending on the style and aim of the letter, you will need to adapt your greeting.

Always start an informal letter in the ways:

  • Dear + name
  • Hi / Hello + name

‘Dear...’ is more appropriate, so stick with this.

For a formal letter there are two options for the greeting:

  • Use Dear Sir or Madam if you don’t know the name of the person you are writing to.
  • Use Dear + surname if you do know their name, e.g. Dear Mr Smith or Dear Mrs Jones.
