**You have borrowed something from your friend and it got damaged.** **Write a letter to your friend. In the letter:** - **apologise for the damage to the item** - **explain what happened** - **say how you are going to fix the issue**

Dear Sam How are you and how is your family been doing? As you know, I rented your video recorder, which is one the most expensive item you owned a month ago.
Moreover
, I borrowed the camera to record the beautiful moments of my vacation.
However
, I am feeling really ashamed to inform you that I accidentally dropped your item and it is not working properly.
Furthermore
, I tried to turn it on but it is still not functioning. I would like to apologize for my careless behaviour and I am promising you that I will pay for the cost of the repair.
Therefore
, I take the whole responsibility for my action.
Besides
, I don't know how to face you after
this
embarrassing moment.
Lastly
, I will try to return you your precious item as soon I get it from the repair store. Thank you I look forward to hearing from you Best Regards Yours Faithfully Sandeep Kaur

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
