There are plans to build a new factory in Parkland near where you live. Write a letter to the local council. In your letter: -Give reasons why you are against the plan; -Explain why the parkland should stay; -Suggest what action the council should take;
Dear Sir / Madam,
I am ABC writing to you, with regards to the decision taken by the council to build a new factory in place of
Parkland
park near the South town centre, Bangalore.
We deeply regret the decision taken by the council. Parkland
is an appropriate place with a lot of amenities for both the elderly and the children to spend time in the evening. They refresh themselves with fresh air and by socialising with people. As already mentioned, Parkland
has a lot of facilities for the aged and children. The aged walk around the walking lane allowing their children to mingle with fellow mates to play in the play area. They spend an ample amount of time together and refresh themselves with joy.
However
, if Parkland
is substituted by a factory, it will be a huge loss for the public devaluing their lives. We humbly request you forego the construction of a factory at Parkland
. At the same time, we would like to intimate that we do not have any other such
facilities in the surrounding. Kindly re-look into your decision and help us retain this
place as it is very valuable for us.
