An English-speaking friend has written to you to ask you how your studies are going. Write a letter to the friend: tell your friend how you are preparing for the exam. tell him/her how you feel about it. tell him your expectations.
Dear Amy , Hope
this
letter finds you in radiant health and in the best of spirits . I hope you are doing well. I miss you so much . I have just read your letter and l
am really glad you wrote to me .l
am writing this
letter because we have not talked for a long time . This
is the reason , l
am currently studying hard for the IELTS exam as l
am going to take it on February 12th. Actually, l
reckon l
have increased very much my skills as l
am finally
getting my aim mark on mock tests . Right now l
am already completely the listening parts as well as
l
have been also
given the right answers for the reading one . In addition
, l
have been watching a lot of videos on YouTube. However
, even though l
have been following all their orientations , l
am still having a hard time with the speaking part of the exam . For
this
reason, I am worried about that. Nevertheless
, l
hope to get a C1 level . See you soon . Thank you for your attention. Yours sincerely, Maxmasoliyeva Joziba.Submitted by asqar4997 on

Structure your letter
A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:
- A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
- The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
- A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)
When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.
All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
