Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to you because of an advertisement I saw recently about volunteering at a hospital. I am extremely interested in working with your facility as I would like to help the place that helped me recover and eventually overcome my illness. I was ill a few months ago and thanks to your hospitality and commitment it was easier for me to get through

this

difficult time. I don't know what help I could offer, but I feel that I would be really happy to be close to the sick. I believe that my personal experience of battling the disease can help me to connect with other patients, to keep them positive, which is so necessary for the healing process.
