More and more students are choosing to study at colleges and universities in a foreign country. Do the benefits of studying abroad outweigh the drawbacks?

These days, a large number of people are travelling overseas in order to achieve an international degree certificate. For many people, especially young adults, to study abroad is an attractive opportunity.
However
, there are pros and cons to be considered before deciding to do
this
. In
this
essay, I will discuss why is so popular to study in other countries and some challenges to be overcome.
To begin
with, an advantage of studying abroad is the change of learning a different language. By

Secondly
, back in their home countries, fresh professionals easily achieve better jobs because of their backgrounds.
That is
to say, some companies prefer professionals with international experience in order to share their knowledge with the team. A professional who has an international degree is prepared to connect with colleagues from other continents
for instance
because he knows their cultural features. On the other side of the argument, moving abroad to study is an expensive project which requires a good previous plan.
Moreover
, unexpected expenses may be a challenge if the student is not prepared.
This
eventually leads one to give up and go back to his country. Another issue is that culture shock can be a barrier to a person, who tends to find it hard to deal with cultural differences and
this
can lead to homesickness and isolation. All things considered, studying abroad is never easy. You need to weigh up the pros of achieving other language skills and better job opportunities in the future, and the cons of high expenses and culture shock. Personally, I believe the benefits in terms of personal growth eventually outweigh any drawbacks.
