Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The line graph gives information about the percentage of four recycling
materials
from 1982 to 2010. It can be seen that aluminium cans showed a significant increase to other types of selected
materials
. Focusing on the years 1982 to 1990
first,
paper and cardboard were placed as the highest recycling
materials
, reaching 65%,
then
it was followed by glass containers with a proportion of 50%. In 1986, 5% of aluminium cans were started to recycle. Material-based plastics began to recycle in 1990, at 5 %,
while
materials
made from Paper & cardboard and glass containers declined to the lowest point of the timeframe, at 65% and 40% respectively. In terms of the following years, a slight increase trend was shown by glass and plastic-based over 16 years starting from 1994, increasing by around 5%, whilst cans made from aluminium dramatically increased, reaching their peak at just over 30% in 2010. The opposite pattern is illustrated by paper & cardboard, which revealed a steady decrease at 70% over the
last
period of time mentioned after taking its peak at 80% in 1994.
