Many things that used to be done in the home by hand are now being done by machines. Does this development bring more advantages or disadvantages?
Due to
the massive technological revolution, plenty of work that previously was completed by hand is now carried out by machine. Although
many would argue for its drawback, the use of electrical tools has given a great impact on humankind. Both pros and cons of this
issue will be discussed below.
Technology enables automation in several tasks that previously were done by hand which certainly has numerous benefits. By embedding technology, the time
needed to perform a task notably decreases. Washing dishes consumes lots of time
especially when the household consists of a big family, but because of the invention of the dishwashing machine, chores can be done by the machine in a much shorter time
. Moreover
, automation equipment enables people to multitask. People are able to complete more than one task at a time
. For example
, while
making juice using a food processor, we are also
able to clean the house using a smart mopping robot.
But on the other hand
, the use of automation in the household would also
negatively affect humans. Since the main function of machinery is to ease humans, it might lead to the development of unhealthy lifestyles in the long run. By using manual equipment, people get the opportunity to exercise, move their bodies, and get sweat. Lack of moving at the bare minimum surely will harmfully affect their health.
In a conclusion, various household activities that previously required manual have been taken over by machines which effort previously have now been taken over by machines which subsequently
is beneficial to humankind by making their lives simpler. Although
, the above development is also
disadvantageous to the health of the individuals as they would move less and be prone to diseases.Submitted by nailuredha on
